When you take up the cross to follow Jesus unto obedience to the death of self, which is the old earthy sinful Adam in you then the power of the cross through a circumcision done by the Spirit of God eventually slays the sinner in you and Christ’s blood washes away your sins.
You are baptised by the Spirit of God and His cleansing fire into the death of Christ through the work of a personal cross. This is the victory of the overcomer after that you’ve received the gift of salvation through His cross.
His cross saves you from sin.
Your cross delivers you from sin.
His cross forgives your past.
Your cross heals and delivers you from your past.
Colossians 2:9 For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.
10 And you are complete in Him, which is the head of all principality and power:
11 In whom also you are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
12 Buried with Him in baptism, wherein also you are risen with Him through the faith of the operation of God, who has raised him from the dead.
13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, has He quickened together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to His cross;
15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, He made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
True love is demonstrated by what we are willing to sacrifice to be intimate with the object of our affection. The only power made available to us by God to conquer the god of self is the love of God revealed in the cross of Christ through the call of self-denial. The god of self is Satan because he rules man through self-desire. The principle of satan is self-exaltation so when we humble ourselves through the denial of self we conquer and dethrone the god of self.
How can Satan rule you when he looses the throne of SELF?
Self-exaltation through the indulgence of the pride of life, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes glorifies and enthrones Satan within the heart of man whereas the humility of self-denial liberates the heart and glorifies and enthrones the God of the cross.
