  1. Saul was a king who sought the counsel of prophets. Many of the things he did doesn’t make sense until you remember he had the “distressing spirit” messing with his mind. He could have humbled himself, been contrite and sought the Lord with all of his being and He would have been merciful. I don’t believe he would have retained the kingdom, though, but I don’t think his life or his death would have been so difficult. Saul went after Samuel…look at the scripture with the medium. Saul complained that the Lord was no longer talking to him and that the Philistines were “distressing” him. And he made his situation so much worse.

Never ever run after people! Look at the example of David as a contrast. Was he perfect? No. He had his own consequences for some things he did wrong, but he didn’t go running after Nathan whenever he was troubled. His focus was on God and he repented.

Oh..and look at the example of Moses and Israel. He asked God for help in dealing with Israel. God gave him helpers and the Holy Spirit was with them. A couple were prophesying and some of his Moses servants reported it. What did Moses say?

“So Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ assistant, one of his choice men, answered and said, “Moses my Lord, forbid them!” Then Moses said to him, “Are you zealous for my sake? Oh, that all the Lord ’s people were prophets and that the Lord would put His Spirit upon them!”
    Numbers 11:28‭-‬29 NKJV

  2. The Body of Christ is full of self proclaimed prophets giving out a word and many people have been deceived in leaving their homes, families (wife and children) and jobs.

By the way, if God calls a man to the ministry or a woman, he will not cause the family to be forsaken : will not tell a person to divorce their spouse because the other significant has a ministry of helps to enable the man or woman of God who has been called to do what they have been called to do. That is how I see this.

Any way, I hear/see some who just walk up to a person and give them a word when the person did not have the unction already in their spirit. From these people flee.

On some T.V. ministries, use the same technique by playing on a person’s ego, to build them up, to puff them up.

And the Word of Faith, don’t want to go there.

    1. I agree with you 100% my brother! There has been so many abuse has in the area of the prophetic that I could not even begin to cover them all. The fact is that God does speak to his people and he wants to speak to all of them not just those in the “ministry” This is what needs to be understood in this very late hour.
