SEOUL, Feb. 8 (Yonhap) — North Korea is set to hold a military parade to mark the 70th anniversary of its armed forces’ foundation Thursday, one day before the PyeongChang Winter Olympics’ opening.
North Korea has recently designated Feb. 8 as its armed forces’ day, sparking concerns that the event may dampen a rare reconciliatory mood created by its participation in the Feb. 9-25 Olympics in the South.

'Mass STABBING' at Christian church ceremony leaves two in critical condition

A service was taking place at a residence on Cambridge Drive, near Ray High School before a band member and pastor were taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Two people attending were stabbed, one in the hand and one on the arm.

An asteroid larger than a blue whale will skim past Earth on Friday at less than one-fifth the distance between our planet and the moon.

The asteroid, 2018 CB, was only discovered by NASA on Sunday and will blaze by Earth at just 39,000 miles (64,000 kilometres).

FBI texts suggest Comey could have lied under oath, staffers used Gmail for official business

A new report has revealed additional texts between FBI agent Peter Strzok and his mistress Lisa Page, indicating that FBI staffers used non-official email servers. It also questions whether James Comey lied under oath.
The texts were released in a 25-page report titled ‘The Clinton Email Scandal and the FBI’s Investigation of it,’ which was released by the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs on Tuesday. The report included numerous messages between Strzok and Page, but noted that they “do not provide a full and complete picture” and that “further investigation and inquiry is necessary.”  Read More…
